Vincent A. DiNoto, Jr. is Dean of College and Systemic Initiatives and Professor of Physics and Astronomy at Jefferson Community and Technical College. He is the Director/PI of the National Geospatial Technology Center of Excellence. Vince has been PI, co-PI and senior team member on numerous grants including being co-PI of three different national centers and Project Director of a regional center. He has created numerous courses including some of the first online offerings in Kentucky. He continues to do research areas which include Water Powered Mills (most recent article on the two great armories), the topography of Civil War Battlefields as well as the concept of Citizen Scientist (which allows non-scientist/technologist to collect valuable information). His degrees are in Physics from Indiana State University in Terre Haute. He is the Providence High School Varsity Girls Tennis Coach. Vince’s hobbies include photography, biking, painting and visiting wineries. He is married to Cindy and they have two children.
